Jabalpur Big Accident: Big explosion in Jabalpur Ordnance Factory, rescue and relief work continues

A major accident took place in Jabalpur’s Ordnance Factory Khamaria on Tuesday morning, when a massive explosion occurred in building number 201 of F6 section. The entire building was destroyed in this accident. The blast occurred at 10:45 am, when about 12 to 13 employees were working in the factory. According to preliminary information, two employees have been seriously injured and have been admitted to Mahakaushal Hospital. His condition is said to be critical.

Thousand powder bombs are produced in this factory, which is used by the Indian Air Force. At the time of the blast, the process of boiling out the Pichora bomb was going on, when this accident occurred. After the blast, rescue work was started rapidly. Other injured employees have also been taken to the hospital, while many more employees are feared buried under the debris.

Rescue and relief work continues

Administration and rescue teams have reached the spot and relief work is going on. Efforts are being made to rescue the people buried at the spot. The condition of Shyamlal and Randhir admitted in Mahakaushal Hospital is said to be critical. Other injured are also undergoing treatment. This accident is extremely worrying because this production unit is considered important for Indian security. Investigations are ongoing at the factory, and the cause of this serious accident is being determined.
