What is this scheme?

Actually, the government has launched the Pradhan Mantri Shaadi Shagun Yojana mainly for girls from minority communities. This scheme was launched on 8 August 2017. Shadi Shagun Scheme was proposed under the Union Ministry of Minority Affairs with the aim of promoting higher education among girls of the Muslim community of the country. Let us tell you that the benefit of Shaadi Shagun Yojana goes to those Muslim girls who have received Begum Hazrat Mahal National Scholarship at school level. Begum Hazrat Mahal National Scholarship is awarded to girls from minority i.e. Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain and Parsi communities.

  • Must be a resident of Rajasthan.
  • Be a BPL card, Aastha card, Antyodaya card holder or a widow.
  • The girl's age should be above 18 years.
  • The annual income of the family should not exceed Rs 50 thousand.
