Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) has submitted a list of 33 central level leaders of the party to the Chief Election Commissioner and requested to recognize them as star campaigners. Besides, a request has also been made to issue passes for their vehicles.

The Election Commission has been informed that as the chief election campaigner of JMM, party president Shibu Soren will lead the campaign in the assembly constituencies of the state. Along with him, Hemant Soren, Nalin Soren, Kalpana Murmu Soren, Prof. Stephen Marandi, Mathura Prasad Mahato, Savita Mahato, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Vaidyanath Ram will be involved in the campaign.
