Star Indian cricketer's father accused of religious conversion, major action taken against the player

Jemima lost her membership due to her father

Jemima's father Ivan Rodrigues has been accused of organizing conversion programs inside Khar Gymkhana. As soon as these allegations were made, Gymkhana officials held a meeting on Sunday and terminated Jemima's membership. Jemima was given this membership as honorary in 2023. She was the first female cricketer in the country to get membership of this club. It is very difficult for Jemimah to face such a big shock after coming to India after the failure of the T20 World Cup played in UAE.

According to the Indian Express report, Jemima's father is associated with an organization named Brother Manuel Ministries, which had booked the gymkhana hall for about one and a half years. Recently, about 35 such programs were organized in which people were motivated to convert. When the former president of the club got information about the ongoing programs, he decided to go there and see it. He also took along the present officers of the club and when he reached there the program was still going on. According to him, “There was complete darkness in the hall and a woman was saying that he was coming to save us.”

Jemimah Rodrigues flopped in T20 World Cup

Jemima, who has been playing international cricket for the last six years, has played more than 100 T20 International matches and was one of India's most experienced players in the T20 World Cup. However, despite this his performance was very disappointing. Despite batting in four matches, she could not even touch the score of 30 in a single match. 23 was his highest score in the tournament. The Indian team could not even reach the semi-finals and its journey ended at the group stage itself.
