PM Narendra Modi leaves for Kazan to attend BRICS summit News In Hindi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi left for Russia on Tuesday on a two-day visit to attend the BRICS summit in Kazan. During his visit, Modi is expected to hold bilateral meetings with his counterparts and other invited leaders of BRICS member countries in Kazan.

“Held on the theme 'Strengthening Multilateralism for Equitable Global Development and Security', the summit will serve as an important platform for leaders to discuss key global issues,” the Ministry of External Affairs said.

The 16th BRICS summit is being held in Kazan from 22 to 24 October under the chairmanship of Russia.

This is Modi's second visit to Russia in 2024, before which he had visited Moscow in July to attend the 22nd India-Russia annual summit.

“Leaving for Kazan, Russia, to attend the BRICS Summit. India attaches great importance to BRICS and I look forward to wide-ranging discussions on various topics. I will be there,” Prime Minister Modi said in a post on Twitter. Also looking forward to meeting various leaders.”
