Anil Kapoor recently made headlines for turning down a massive Rs 10 crore endorsement deal from a well known pan masala brand. The veteran actor known for his integrity and commitment to social responsibility, made it clear that he won’t endorse any such advertisements that would contradict his values as a public figure and entertainer.

Pinkvilla, citing its source, discussed about the Welcome actor turning down the pan masala advertisement. “He was approached by a prominent pan masala company with an attractive offer, but he turned it down. He feels a deep sense of responsibility towards his fans and is unwilling to endorse products that could negatively impact public health, no matter the compensation.”

Ajay Devgn is a favourite of the ‘meme world’ owing to his association with an elaichi brand and tagline, ‘bolo zubaan kesari.’ A while ago, this company created a huge stir as it got three superstars together in one frame- Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar and Shah Rukh Khan. But the fans of ‘Khiladi’ Kumar were not very happy with him, so he stepped back from the commercial.

In the past, there are several other stars who said no to the Pan Masala advertisement including, Kartik Aaryan, Allu Arjun, Yash and Smriti Irani. Apart from them, actors such as John Abraham and Ammy Virk also said that they will never endorse this brand for money or success.

Well, Anil Kapoor’s decision has drawn widespread praise from fans and the media alike, further showcasing his longstanding commitment to promoting only healthy choices. His rejection of the pan masala deal reflects his unwillingness to compromise on these values, even for financial gain.
