Dhanteras 2024 Remedies: According to the Vedic calendar, Diwali is celebrated every year on the Amas tithi of Aso month. 2 days before Diwali, the 13th day of Krishna Paksha of Aso month is also celebrated as the festival of Lakshmi, Kuber and Yama. On this day, lamps are lit outside the house and lamp donation is also given special importance. This pleases Yamraj and the fear of untimely death ends. In Hindu religious texts, special importance of donating lamps has been mentioned to please Lord Yamraj on Tritiya of Krishna Paksha of Aso month.

According to astrologer Pandit Sridhar Shastri, Dhanteras is celebrated on the third day of Krishna Paksha in Aso month. On this day, there is special significance of worshiping Goddess Lakshmi, Lord Kuber Maharaj, Lord Dhanvantari as well as Goddess Yama.

Pandit Shridhar Shastri says that there is a lot of confusion regarding Dhanteras, some people say that Dhanteras is on 29th October and some people will celebrate this festival on 30th October. According to the Vedic calendar, Teras Tithi will start on October 29 at 10:32 am and will continue till October 30 at 1:15 pm.
