Masterstroke by Mukesh Ambani as Reliance boss may sell these items through Reliance Retail

It was observed that Bharat brand flour, rice, and pulses were temporarily available on e-commerce platforms such as Reliance’s Jiomart, Amazon, and Bigbasket.

In an attempt to control inflation, the Centre has decided to sell Bharat brand flour, rice and pulses at lower prices in the second phase. Last year, the government started to sell the Bharat brand products which continued till June this year. .

Trying to give the benefit to maximum people, the Centre is exploring options of retail stores to sell its products in the second phase.

As per a report published in Economic Times, the government is in talks with Mukesh Ambani’s company Reliance Retail for shelves so people can access the products at the cheapest price. The products will also be available through government vans at NAFED, NCCF and Kendriya Bhandaar.

It was observed that Bharat brand flour, rice, and pulses were temporarily available on e-commerce platforms such as Reliance’s Jiomart, Amazon, and Bigbasket.

According to sources, the Centre is also talking with D-Mart but Reliance and D-Mart have not made their official statement over the development yet. Sources further added that the government wants a long-term deal with

Notably, Reliance Retail has over 18,000 stores across the country and if the deal between the government and Reliance takes place, it will cater these products to people in a large number.
