He told that since their last Test match in February, Australian players have played only one Test match, hence their preparation is the same as the other players. Warner said that he had retired for the right reasons, but if the Australian team needs him, he is ready. He is not going to back down from this.

Warner is still playing in franchise cricket

David Warner has also talked about withdrawing retirement before. Even a few months ago, he had expressed his desire to play next year's Champions Trophy. However, just a few days later, Australia's Chief Selector George Bailey dashed Warner's hopes. He had said that David Warner's name will not be considered for the Champions Trophy to be played in Pakistan.

David Warner may have retired from international cricket, but he is still making waves in leagues around the world. In the month of August, Warner was seen playing in the Max60 Caribbean 2024 League. Earlier, he had also been a part of the Global T20 Canada League. He can be seen playing in IPL 2025 also.
