Volkswagen Compact SUV : There has been a significant change in Volkswagen's plans for India as it feels the need to enter the intensely competitive compact SUV segment. Volkswagen India is going to launch a compact SUV in 2026, which will basically be based on the Skoda Kylaq. This vehicle is ready for its global launch next month. However, Volkswagen's compact SUV will see significant changes as per the company's design language.

Special in Volkswagen's new compact SUV

platform
Kylaq will be based on the MQB-A0-IN platform.

alloy wheel
It will have sporty 17 inch black alloy wheels.

sunroof
Kylaq will include features like 2-spoke steering wheel, 10.1-inch touchscreen, ventilated front seats and sunroof.

It will have safety features like 6 airbags, electronic stability control, rear parking camera and rear parking sensors.

There will also be brake disc wiping, electronic differential lock, passenger airbag deactivation, multi-collision braking and ISOFIX child seat anchors.

turbocharged petrol engine
Skoda Kylaq will have a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine, which will provide 114hp power and 178 Nm torque.

Volkswagen's upcoming compact SUV will compete with the Tata Nexon, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV3XO, Nissan Magnite and Kia Sonet.

price
According to reports, the price of the base model of Skoda Kylaq has been set at Rs 8.50 lakh ex-showroom. The new Volkswagen SUV may also be priced in the same range as the Kylaq.
