Kohli can possibly break plenty of records in the 2nd Test between IND and NZ

Indian team is currently engaged in a three-match Test series against New Zealand where the hosts are preparing for the second Test match, which is set to be held at the Maharashtra Cricket Association in Pune. Star batter Virat Kohli will be a player to be on lookout, if we consider his previous performances in this venue.

Kohli has played two Tests at the Maharashtra Cricket Association stadium, where he made the highest score of 254 not out against South Africa. Kohli will be looking to break plenty of records as he plays against the visitors in Pune.

David Warner’s Total in World Test Championship:
Kohli has secured 2404 runs in the World Test Championship, which is just 20 runs short of going over David Warner’s total of 2403 runs.

Don Bradman’s record for Test centuries:
Kohli currently sits along with legendary Don Bradman as both of them have 29 Test centuries to their name. Scoring his 30th Test century will push Kohli over Don, which will be a massive achievement for Kohli in his career.

Sanath Jayasuriya's record for Test fifty:
Kohli is also tied up with players like Sanath Jayasuriya, Tamim Iqbal, Brendon McCullum with 31 Test fifties. Scoring 50 or more runs in the Pune Test will get him a higher position on list of payer with most Test fifties.

Graham Dowling’s record for most runs v NZ:
Kohli currently has 936 runs against New Zealand, which puts him at the 5th position for the highest run scorer in IND v NZ Tests. If he scored 29 more runs, he will go over Graham Dowling who has 964 runs v NZ.
