Officer's divorced wife dies under suspicious circumstances in Siddharthnagar, UP, police engaged in investigation

Anshi Soni, daughter of Bhavanifer, divorced wife of Etawah Nagar Panchayat Executive Officer (EO) Sandeep Kumar, died under suspicious circumstances. His body was found from his residence in EO Indiranagar on Monday.

According to the EO, Anshi committed suicide by hanging herself. She was a resident of Ambedkarnagar locality of Mill Road police station area of ​​Rae Bareli district. In the year 2022, she had divorced her husband who was posted as EO in Etawah. She had been coming and staying with EO again for about one and a half months. Police reached the spot after getting information about the incident and started investigation. Naib Tehsildar Vijay Srivastava recorded the statement of the EO. On receiving information about the incident, CO Sadar Arunkant Singh also reached the spot and inquired about the situation.

EO said- the body was hanging from the latch

Sandeep Kumar, posted as EO in Etawah, lives on rent in Shailendra Kumar Rai's house in Indranagar locality. His divorced wife also lived with him. The EO told during police interrogation that he was out of the house at the time of the incident. When he reached the room around five in the evening, his ex-wife's body was hanging from a latch in the ceiling of the room. He brought down the body with the help of his driver and other associates.

Anshi's body was on the bed

When the police arrived, the body of the deceased was lying on the bed. According to the EO, he had a love marriage with Anshi in the year 2017, but their marriage did not last long. They got divorced in the year 2022. Anshi was living with another person in Delhi, but one and a half months ago she came back to him and started living together. Superintendent of Police Prachi Singh said that the matter is suspicious. It is being verified. On receiving the complaint, a case will also be registered.

Suicide note found from bed

When the police arrived, a suicide note was found near the bed of the deceased. It was written in it that I am giving up my life of my own free will. No one should be implicated after my death. In the suicide note, Anshi has blamed herself for her death. The signature and date of the deceased are not mentioned in it. The police is also considering this as suspicious. The police will also send it for investigation.
