Barhi- BEEO Kishore Prasad inspected Swami Vivekananda Vidyalaya located at Charmail of Khondhar Panchayat of Barhi block. BPM Arun Sharma and CRP Shyam Narayan Singh were also included in this investigation team. During investigation, it was found that the school did not have any proof of recognition available with the department. Only Eudice is available. A total of 315 students are enrolled in this school and around 100 students live in the hostel, which includes both boys and girls.

Security concern for girl students:

During investigation, BEEO said that there is a lack of female warden in the hostel due to which the safety of the girl students is in danger. Apart from this, absence of boundary wall was also found in the school premises which makes the situation more serious in terms of security.

Ignoring vehicle condition and safety standards:

During investigation of an accident involving a school vehicle, it was found that both the fitness certificate and insurance of the vehicle had expired, indicating that safety standards were not being followed.

Lack of infrastructure in school:

There are a total of 9 rooms in the school, out of which hostel children live in 4 rooms. Both the director and principal of the school were absent at the time of investigation and all the information was given by the hostel teachers. Apart from this, he said that electric wires are flowing in the school premises itself due to which the children are not safe.

BEEO gave instructions:

BEEO Kishore Prasad gave clear instructions to the school manager that the school is located in a heavy forest area, hence construction of boundary wall is mandatory. Also, the hostel facilities are not up to standard which requires special attention.
