Construction work of four pontoon bridges started for Mahakumbh-2025.

In view of Maha Kumbh Mela-2025, the construction work of pontoon bridges on Ganga has started from Monday. Kumbh Mela CD Four, Executive Engineer of Public Works Department, Surendra Singh has said that the construction work of four pontoon bridges has started from Monday. Two pontoon bridges on Old GT Road, one pontoon bridge on Gangoli Shivala Marg and one pontoon bridge on the ghat of Harishchandra Marg are being constructed and the construction work of all 30 pontoon bridges will be completed by November.

Mahakumbh Fair Officer Vijay Kiran Anand said that Mahakumbh-2025 is being promoted at the country and world level, hence in view of the huge crowd of saints, mahatmas, bathers and devotees, adequate number of pontoon bridges are being built.

He told that in the last Mahakumbh, 22 pontoon bridges were built but this time 30 pontoon bridges are being built and the construction work has started. He informed that three pontoon bridges are being built from Naini towards Jhunsi in the fair area. Fair Officer Vijay Kiran Anand said that this time all the pontoon bridges will be ready by November 30 so that saints, mahatmas, devotees and bathers do not face any problem in commuting to the fair area.
