New Zealand's Mellie Kerr improves in ICC T20 bowling rankings

DubaiDubai : Mellie Kerr was named Aramco Player of the Tournament following her stellar campaign for champions New Zealand. And the leading wicket-taker in the tournament has moved up to sixth place in the ICC T20I bowling rankings. An astonishing Kerr is also ranked 15th in the batting rankings and is behind only West Indies captain Hayley Matthews in the all-rounder rankings. New Zealand's other leading wicket-takers in the T20 World Cup have also moved up the standings, with Eden Carson closer to the top 10 at 12th and Rosemary Mair moving up 10 places to 27th. Mair's impressive performances in the UAE earned her a place in the ICC Team of the Tournament, with England's Sophie Ecclestone remaining in the top spot.
