Diwali, Chhath Puja 2024 'special' trains News In Hindi: At the time of Diwali and Chhath Puja, most of the people go to their states and these days huge crowd is seen in the trains. Every year Railways runs many special trains. In such a situation, this time also the Railways has made a plan.

Let us tell you that Central Railway has started 570 special train services in Mumbai, Pune and Nagpur divisions to accommodate the increased passenger load during Diwali and Chhath.

This includes a total of 85 special trains to complete these journeys, of which 42 have operated till Saturday. The special trains have seating options including general unreserved coaches, sleeper coaches and air-conditioned coaches.

Of the 570 services, 108 will operate within Maharashtra, covering Latur, Sawantwadi Road, Nagpur, Pune, Kolhapur and Nanded routes. The remaining 378 services will connect Banaras, Samastipur, Asansol and Agartala destinations.

Specifically, 132 services will depart from Mumbai, 146 from Pune and the remaining 100 from other locations.

Central Railway runs 378 trips to various places including Danapur, Gorakhpur and Chhapra for northbound passengers. Additionally, 84 trips have been scheduled for southbound passengers, serving destinations such as Karimnagar, Kochuveli, Kazipet and Bengaluru.

Apart from this, several other trains connecting Mumbai, Prayagraj, Samastipur and Gorakhpur have been announced to ensure hassle-free travel for those traveling to these places.

Chhath Puja is a major festival celebrated mainly in the Indian states of Bihar, Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh as well as among the diaspora. It honors the Sun God, Surya and his wife Usha for bestowing health and prosperity. The festival lasts for four days, during which devotees observe fast, take ritual baths and offer prayers on river banks or ponds during sunrise and sunset.
