Threat to bomb 30 flights of Indigo-Vistara, Air India, more than 120 threats in 8 days, government will bring strict laws

Bomb Threats: The threat to bomb Indian airlines is not stopping. In such a situation, every day some airlines are getting bomb threats. In such a situation, on Monday, October 21, about 30 domestic and international flights operated by Indian Airlines received a bomb threat.

Let us tell you, Indigo, Vistara and Air India were included in these threats. Giving information about this, an IndiGo official said that four Air India flights have received security alerts. These included flights 6E 164 (Mangaluru to Mumbai), 6E 75 (Ahmedabad to Jeddah), 6E 67 (Hyderabad to Jeddah) and 6E 118 (Lucknow to Pune). After this, work was immediately done to inform the concerned authorities.

Apart from Air India, Vistara flights have also received bomb threats. A spokesperson of Vistara informed that on Monday 21st October, some of their flights were given security threats through social media. After this, the concerned authorities were immediately alerted and all the security procedures directed by them are being followed.

For your information, let us tell you that since last week till now, more than 120 Indian flights have received bomb threats. In such a situation, Ministry of Civil Aviation Minister K Rammohan Naidu had said on Monday, October 21, 2024 that even though these threats are false, they cannot be taken lightly.

The government is now planning to take legal action to tackle these threats, with a proposal to put offenders on a 'no-fly list'. An amendment is being proposed in the 'Civil Aviation Act' of 1982, which will enable criminals to be arrested easily. Apart from this, investigation can be started without any court order while the airplane is on the ground. Planning is also underway to ensure strict punishment against those who make bomb threats.
