New Delhi : British Airways on Monday suspended flights to Tel Aviv until the end of March next year due to rising tensions between Israel and Hezbollah in southern Lebanon. A British Airways spokesperson said in a statement that this would provide peace of mind to customers and the company is advising customers to contact them to inform them about other options, including refunds.

The British airline recently joined a growing number of foreign airlines that have extended the suspension of flights to Israel. Last week, budget airline Wizz Air announced it would cancel all flights to and from Israel until January 15, and Delta Air Lines announced it would cancel all flights to Israel until at least the end of March.
