Actually, Shreyas Iyer has played 7 consecutive matches for Mumbai team in Ranji Trophy, which clearly shows that he is ready to return to the Indian team.

According to a recent report by Cricbuzz, the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) informed them that Iyer will not be traveling to Agartala, where Mumbai will face Tripura from November 26. The remaining members of the team will leave for Agartala on the morning of 23 October. MCA is not announcing Shreyas Iyer's replacement as it announced the 16-member squad on Monday.

Meanwhile, Shreyas has denied the news of his injury. Iyer wrote on X that friends, do some homework seriously before publishing the news.

Iyer had undergone back surgery early last year. Since his return, he has played in both the Asia Cup and the World Cup but lost his place in the Indian team.

After scoring a century against Maharashtra, Iyer said that his body needed rest. They don't care what other people think about it. I have to listen to my body because I know how many limits I have crossed in the last few years and based on that I will take the right decision and I hope my team will also support me.
