Recently, notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi is in the news again, who is currently lodged in Sabarmati Central Jail in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. According to his 50-year-old cousin Ramesh Bishnoi, the family spends Rs 35 to 40 lakh annually for Lawrence's care while he serves his sentence. This news comes soon after the tragic murder of former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddiqui, who was shot dead by three armed assailants outside his son's office in Bandra on the night of October 12.

Ramesh Bishnoi spoke openly about the family's financial situation, emphasizing that he never thought Lawrence would choose a life of crime. Referring to the family's rich background, he said, “We have always been rich. Lawrence's father was a constable in the Haryana Police and owns 110 acres of land in our village.”

Ramesh highlighted that even during his stay in prison, the family spends a lot on Lawrence's maintenance, including luxurious clothes and luxuries.

Lawrence Bishnoi, whose real name is Balkaran Brar, is from Firozpur, Punjab. A law graduate from Panjab University, he has been implicated in several high-profile criminal cases, including murder and extortion. Interestingly, the name 'Lawrence' was inspired by a suggestion from his aunt during his school days. Their criminal activities are widespread, and they have been linked to high-stakes extortion cases involving celebrities, politicians, and businessmen. The most infamous incident associated with him is the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala in 2022, for which his associate Goldie Brar claimed responsibility.
