BRICS 2024: These days, discussions are going on in the world about the BRICS summit which has been organized in the city of Kazan, Russia. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has arrived to attend this conference, while representatives of other countries have also participated. There is doubt over Saudi Arabia's presence in this conference, what is the reason behind this that the country is not able to reach this conference till now.
What is Saudi Arabia thinking?
Let us tell here that the original members of BRICS include Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. If we talk about the year 2023, Saudi Arabia was also included in the category of new countries. Membership programs were being run for new countries in February 2024, during which Saudi had said at the last moment that it would not be a part of the summit right now. At the same time, Saudi Arabia was to register its presence in this BRICS conference to be held in 2024, but it has kept the invitation to attend under consideration and is not reaching this conference.
Is this the reason for not coming?
Saudi Arabia may not have given any thought to BRICS, but it is being said that the BRICS group has given rise to a completely new world order in the world along with Iran-North Korea as a rival to the Western groupings. Along with this, efforts for alliance between Russia and China on the basis of world order are coming to the fore. Regarding this, Saudi Arabia believes that Saudi Arabia has been a major ally of America, that is why it is aware of the danger of increasing ties with Russia-China.

Prime Minister Modi participated
Talking here, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has participated in the BRICS event being held in Russia. People of Indian origin including Russian citizens had come to welcome him.
