Tom Latham shares New Zealand’s tactics to face India in the 2nd Test

New Zealand captain Tom Latham shared their plans for the upcoming 2nd Test match against India, set to be held in Pune. He said that they would try to get data about the pitch by watching the previous games of the venue.

New Zealand team will be entering the 2nd Test with an iconic victory against India in the 1st Test, which marked their first Test victory against India on home grounds after 36 years.

“Whatever we’re presented with, for us it’s about trying to attempt as quick as we can,” Latham said media before the 2nd Test.

“If it is going to be a wicket that turns a little bit more, then we’ve got four spinners in our line-upthat will play into their hands, but it’s (also) about to try not to go into the game with too many preconceived ideas,” he added.

Latham also stated that he has thought about how t make proper use of spinners.

“I obviously had a little bit of a think around what that may look like,” he said.

“(We will)try to get a little bit of information from previous games here and also practise wickets that we’re on, will hopefuly be something around, or similar to what we’re going,”he added.
