-'There is a need to come together on the issue of terrorism and terror funding.

New Delhi/Kazan. PM Modi In BRICS Summit 2024: Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave a message of peace to the world at the BRICS summit held in Kazan, Russia. He also thanked President Vladimir Putin for organizing this conference. I am very happy that today we are meeting for the first time as an extended BRICS family. On this occasion, Modi said, I heartily welcome all the new members and friends associated with the BRICS family.

Modi's attack on terrorism

PM Modi said that we (India) do not support war, but harmony and diplomacy. Together we defeated the challenge like Covid. Now this meeting is taking place at a time when there is war, conflict, economic uncertainty, climate change, terrorism in many places around the world. There is a discussion going on about dividing the world into North-South and East-West.

BRICS is not a divisive group, but a public interest group

Controlling inflation, food security, energy security, health security, water security are priority issues for all countries. Also, in this age of technology, cyber security, fake news etc. have become new challenges. In such a situation, there are a lot of expectations from BRICS (PM Modi In BRICS Summit 2024). I believe that BRICS, as a diverse and inclusive forum, can play a positive role on all issues. Our approach in this regard should be people-centric. PM Modi also said that we should give a message to the world that BRICS is not a separatist but a group of public interest.

Modi's strict comment on terrorism

Talking on terrorism, PM Modi says, we all should unanimously fight terrorism and terrorist funding. There is no scope for duplicity on such a serious matter. We should take active steps to prevent radicalization among the youth of our country. We have to work together on the pending issue of the United Nations Comprehensive Convention on International Terrorism. Similarly, global norms for cyber security, safe and secure AI should be worked out.
