If you also keep some important things in mind while doing online shopping during the festive season, then you can thwart the intentions of scammers.
Don't make these mistakes even by mistake
Avoid fake websites: Scammers often cunningly design a dummy site which will look exactly like the original site. Verify URL: Whatever site you are going to shop from, check the URL of that site carefully first. For example, the name of Amazon site is amazon.in but scammers often create a site with amazon.in or a similar name which looks similar to Amazon. Due to the similar design of the site, people do not pay attention to the URL and become victims of scams.
Avoid forwarded links: As soon as the sale starts, forwarded links of cheap and bumper discounted products start appearing on social media. If any of your friends saw a product which is being sold at a very cheap price and forwarded the same link to you. Similarly, the link keeps getting forwarded and people trust the link sent by their close people and do shopping and even empty their bank accounts.
