Pakistan: The Punjab provincial government of neighboring country Pakistan will give cash to Hindu and Sikh families ahead of the festivals. According to reports, the Punjab provincial government will give 10,000 Pakistani rupees to every Sikh and Hindu family in the province on the occasion of Guru Nanak Jayanti and Diwali. A total of 2200 families will be given this amount. Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has directed officials concerned to start issuing festival cards to “our Hindu and Sikh brothers” without any delay, a spokesperson said.

According to reports, officials said special arrangements have been made for foreign pilgrims coming next month to celebrate the 555th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev.
Saifullah Khokhar, Additional Secretary, 'Evacuee Trust Property Board' (ETPB) said that a Visa Automation System has been launched to facilitate the issuance of visas to foreign pilgrims. This includes more than 3,000 Sikh pilgrims from India and 1,000 from other countries. All these devotees are likely to come here next month to celebrate the 555th Birth Anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev. He said that apart from providing all other necessary facilities, special transport arrangements are being made for the Sikh pilgrims.
