New plan of Modi government, now subsidy will be available on these pulses

New Delhi : Modi government has taken a decision on Wednesday regarding the rising prices of pulses. The central government has announced to expand its program of subsidized pulses. To control the rising prices of pulses, the government has decided to sell whole chana dal and masoor dal under the 'Bharat' brand.

Food and Consumer Affairs Minister Prahlad Joshi said that through the cooperative network National Cooperative Consumers Federation of India Limited i.e. NCCF, National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India Limited i.e. NAFED and Central Storage, whole gram dal is being sold at Rs 58 per kg and masoor dal at Rs 89 per kg. Will be sold at the rate of Rs per kilogram. Joshi also introduced the second phase of this initiative. “We are selling our storage held under the Price Stabilization Fund at a subsidized price,” he said.

so many tons of pulses distributed

The government has distributed 3 lakh tonnes of gram and 68,000 tonnes of moong to cooperative societies. On this occasion, Minister of State for Food and Consumer Affairs B. l. Verma and Nimuben Jayantibhai Bambhaniya were also present. NCCF Managing Director Anees Joseph Chandra said the distribution will start from Delhi, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Maharashtra. There is a plan for its nationwide expansion within 10 days.

Price of whole moong and moong dal

The current rates under the first phase are Rs 30 per kg for wheat flour i.e. above Rs 27.50, Rs 34 per kg for rice i.e. above Rs 29, Rs 70 per kg for gram dal i.e. above Rs 60. Whereas the price of moong dal and moong whole is Rs 107 per kg and Rs 93 per kg respectively.

Increase in support price of pulses

The government is also trying to maintain the rate at Rs 35 per kg for onion and Rs 65 per kg for tomato. The Union Minister has expressed hope for better production of pulses this year as the government has significantly increased the support price of pulses.
