Big success for India, but…
Speaking to a channel, General VK Singh (Former army chief VK Singh) said, 'After this agreement, both the armies will discuss Depsang and Demchok and decide the future direction. But I think this is a big success for India, but it will take some time to be implemented locally. We should not be under the illusion that everything will suddenly be fine. It is difficult to say what the future will be like after the agreement. Some of its rules will be decided at the diplomatic and military level.
Will border agreement reduce tension?
Relations between India and China have been tense for a long time, but now some agreements have been reached on the border dispute between the two countries. According to Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, a patrol agreement was signed between India and China on Monday. With this the Indian Army will be able to patrol here again. Tension increased after a violent encounter between the armies of the two countries in the Galwan Valley of eastern Ladakh. But now everything is likely to be fine with this deal.
Vikram Mistry further said that after the incident in Galwan Valley, patrolling was stopped at some patrolling points, but this proposal will help in reducing tension. China also built military bases in some areas, which increased tension. But now after this proposal it will be solved. This agreement will improve the situation in sensitive areas like Depsang and Demchok.
