In the 19th century, Sawai Ram Singh and Sawai Madho Singh also built buildings inside the fort. No one ever attacked Nahargarh Fort

After all these things comes the mystery of this place.. There is a legend of Nahargarh Fort that a ghost used to wander in the fort. Many such activities were seen even during the construction of the fort. The laborers working in the fort were scared of all these activities. Also, whatever work was done in the fort the day before, was found to be defective the next day.
It is believed that some ghost was creating obstacles in the construction of the fort. Later, after the advice of pundits and tantrikas, the temple of Nahar Singh Bhomiya ji was built here, while the name of the fort was earlier 'Sudarshangarh', later it was changed to 'Nahargarh'. After that till date there has been no hindrance in the construction of the fort. The temple of Nahar Singh Bhomiya ji still exists in the fort.
