Case of spitting in rotis came to light, video went viral
A case of spitting in the rotis being cooked at the dhaba for the customers has come to light. Taking cognizance of the viral video, the Food Safety and Drug Department team investigated the matter and seized the dhaba. The police have detained the accused person. The department is registering a case in the matter.
There is a roadside dhaba of Irshad alias Ibrahim in village Sudhiyamau under Ramnagar police station, on which Irshad used to spit before putting the roti in the tandoor. After knowing about this, some people secretly made a video of it and made it viral on social media. When this matter came to the notice of Food Safety Commissioner II Shailendra Kumar on Tuesday, a team was sent to the spot.
Food items also seized
The Food Safety Commissioner said that the dhaba has no registration. The operator has been given a notice to close the dhaba and a case is being filed against the accused on behalf of the departmental employee. The food items found on the spot have also been seized.
Dhaba seized
Additional Superintendent of Police North Chiranjeev Nath Sinha said that the dhaba has been sealed. The land and shop in which the Dhaba was operating is also being investigated. The accused is Irshad, a resident of Nabipur, Fatehpur, who has been detained. A case is being registered in the matter.
CM Yogi has given instructions for strict action
Let us tell you, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given instructions to take strict action against those who adulterate food items with human waste or dirty things. CM Yogi has also given instructions for thorough investigation and verification of all the hotels, dhabas, restaurants and related establishments in the state. Along with this, instructions have also been given to amend the rules as per requirement while ensuring the health and safety of the general public.
