Big decision of Yogi government, fodder production centers will be built on enemy properties in UP

Lucknow. Fodder production and animal protection centers will be opened on enemy properties in UP. For this, the state government has sought details of these properties from the Union Home Ministry. In this scheme, the land will be provided by the central government, while the state government will take the responsibility of developing necessary facilities on it.

There are more than 12 lakh cows in 7624 cow shelters in Uttar Pradesh. Considering the number of animals, there is shortage of green fodder in the state. For this, there is a plan to find new places, so that along with the production of green fodder, Artificial Insemination and Research Centers can also be established there.

Under this scheme, the government has approached the Central Government to acquire enemy properties. If there is encroachment on the marked enemy properties, they will be vacated. The centers opened here will be based on latest technology. With their help, emphasis will be laid on conservation and promotion of indigenous cows.

What is enemy property?

After the India-Pakistan partition and the war between the two countries, many people migrated from India to Pakistan. They left their property here. The government took possession of such properties and declared them enemy property. Similarly, after the 1962 war, the property of Indians settling in China was also declared enemy property. After amendment in the provisions of the Enemy Property Act in the year 2017, all such properties have come under the control of the Centre.

UP has the highest number of enemy properties in the country. Their number is around 6017.
