*Korba / A review meeting of departmental schemes was organized in the Collectorate hall under the chairmanship of Arun Sao, Deputy Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Government, Public Works, Public Health Engineering, Law and Legislative Affairs, Urban Administration and Minister in-charge of the district. He directed to ensure that the benefits of all the welfare schemes of the government reach the common citizens on priority. Also directed to behave well with the people coming to the office and provide relief to them by solving their problems. The Deputy Chief Minister said that there is no dearth of resources in Korba, the energy capital of the state. The possibilities of working in every field here are limitless. The work of government offices has been upgraded. All of you officers and employees should also update your working methodology and work with new energy and thinking to take the district in the direction of development. The Deputy Chief Minister reviewed cleanliness and systematic maintenance in all government offices, complete arrangement of light and cleanliness in urban bodies, resolution of revenue cases, condition of roads, Prime Minister's residence, Jal Jeevan Mission Scheme, Public Works, Urban Administration Department, Health Department, Prime Minister's residence. Taking information about the progress of development works of other departments including Women and Child Development, gave necessary guidelines. He asked all the officers to make regular field visits for better implementation of departmental schemes. With an officer in the field, your team is alert to the work being done. With this you get to know the ground reality of the implementation of the schemes. On going to the field, the work will speed up and the problems will be resolved soon. Officers were directed to pay special attention to cleanliness and hygiene inside and outside all government office premises and systematic maintenance of files. He also talked about giving satisfaction to the common people by treating them respectfully. He asked to pay special attention to the cleanliness of all urban bodies. For this, instructions were given to clean public toilets, roads and drains and make proper lighting arrangements in the city. Officials were directed to make special efforts to ensure good performance of urban bodies in cleanliness ranking. While reviewing the revenue cases, resolving the pending revenue cases seriously and resolving the revenue cases, the common people get relief. For this, all the officers should bring progress in resolving the revenue issue.
Patwaris were directed to stay at the headquarters and complete the work of the common people, and the officers to understand the problems of the farmers in the courts and provide them complete facilities. Instructions were given to pay special attention to the quality and complete all the road construction, repair and infrastructure construction works going on in the district within the time period. Asked to complete the repair works of PWD roads, PM roads and Chief Minister village roads in the urban bodies and rural areas of the district in mission mode. For this, the tendering for all the works should be completed quickly. Departmental officers were directed to complete the work by fixing responsibilities through mutual coordination. It is the government's commitment to strengthen the education system in the district by reviewing the education department. In order to provide quality education to the students, instructions were given to the District Education Officer to ensure proper operation of schools and regular presence of teachers in schools. Also asked to provide nutritious quality mid-day meal to school children. The work of distribution of text books, uniforms and cycles should also be completed on priority. The health officer was asked to pay special attention to cleanliness in all health centres. Health officials were asked to be present on time in all the sub-health centres, primary and community health centers of the district and provide health benefits to the common people. Also, the work of Jal Jeevan Mission is very important under the review of the work of Public Health Engineering to strictly ban the sale of intoxicating drugs, fake and illegal medicines by running a campaign with the cooperation of the Police Department. It is an ambitious plan of the government to provide pure drinking water to every home, there should be no negligence in this. There should be quality work in all villages. Also, after the Panchayat is certified, Water Festival should be celebrated in the presence of public representatives and villagers should be encouraged to conserve water.
He talked about playing an important role in realizing the dream of permanent housing of backward families under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. He said that the officials should understand the importance of these schemes seriously and should provide the benefits of these schemes to as many people as possible. After taking information about the long pending construction works under the Public Works Department, he asked to complete the work quickly. Instructions were given to the officials of the electricity department to electrify the electricity-less areas of the district and to seriously resolve the problem of low voltage. Forest Department officials were asked to provide timely information about elephant movement in rural areas and make every possible effort to stop elephant-human conflict and directed to provide timely relief money to the victims of loss of life caused by elephants. All the officers themselves should come forward and benefit the people from their departmental schemes. You should do such positive work so that these schemes bring change and prosperity in the lives of common people and make the dream of developed Korba come true. Giving information about the development works being done in the district, the Collector said that the district administration is continuously working to provide benefits of all the important schemes of the government to the common people. He said that arrangements have been made for gas cylinders and refilling for fuel in all the government schools, Anganwadi and ashram hostels of the district under DMF item. From the coming month, wood will not be used for firewood in all institutions. Collector said that breakfast is being distributed in government schools in Korba Urban and Podi Upora.
From 4th November onwards, nutritious breakfast will be provided in other Kartala, Katghora, Pali and Korba rural schools of the district along with the opening of schools in the morning. Approval has been given for the construction of new buildings and repair work for the building-less and repairable schools, health centers and Anganwadis of the district. Provision of teachers is being ensured in single teacher and teacherless schools of the district. Guest lecturers and guest teachers have been recruited on the vacant posts of teachers in schools. Apart from this, educated unemployed people belonging to Special Backward Tribe families residing in the district have been appointed to the vacant posts in education, health and other departments along with the youth of PVTG category as per their qualifications. 100 topper children of the district have been sent to the prestigious coaching institute of Raipur for preparation for NEET and JEE. Similarly, human resources are being appointed in the health department. In many places, houses are being constructed for health workers and boundary walls are being constructed in health centres. Besides, specialist doctors are also being recruited. The honorarium of assistant professors serving in the medical college has also been increased. To expand health facilities, ambulance facility has been provided in remote areas of the district, Shyang, Moraga and Pasan. Many such public welfare works are being done in the district. Giving information about the departmental work, the SP said that the department is continuously working to instill fear of law in the minds of criminals and increase confidence among the public. Vigilant action is being taken to stop the transportation, storage and sale of drugs and illegal liquor in the district. To prevent road accidents, banners, posters and speed breakers are being made in blank spots and accident prone areas. Regular action is being taken against those driving without helmet and under the influence of alcohol.
