Mallika Sherawat has always made headlines, be it for her bold on-screen roles, appearances in Hollywood or striking looks at Cannes. Born on October 24, 1976, in Hisar, Haryana, her father wanted her to be an IAS officer. But, Mallika chose to follow her dream of acting. She began her journey in entertainment industry with TV commercials and music videos like Lak Tunoo.

Mallika made her Bollywood debut with film Jeena Sirf Mere Liye. She made a brief cameo in 2002 released romcom. In 2004, she starred in Murder alongside Emraan Hashmi, which became her breakthrough performance. With films like Pyaar Ke Side Effects, Shaadi Se Phele, Welcome and Hiss, The 48-year-old actress rose to stardom and became a well-known face in the industry.

Mallika is also recognised for her work in international cinema. She starred in Hollywood films like The Myth, Politics of Love and a Chinese film, Time Raiders.

Talking about her personal life, Mallika got married to Karan Gill in 1997. However it lasted only a year. She kept her marriage a secret as she felt it could ruin her Bollywood career. Following this, she shifted to LA, living a luxurious life. She owns a beautiful villa in Los Angeles and often shares photos and videos from there.

Recently, Malika travelled back to India for her Bollywood comeback in Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video. The film released theatrically on 11 October, 2024, starring Rajkummar Rao and Tripti Dimri in pivotal roles.
