When KL Rahul was out of Pune Test, this former legend expressed his pain, said – despite scoring 8 to 9 centuries…!

Sports Desk, Obnews: The second match of the two-Test series between India and New Zealand is being played on the grounds of Pune. KL Rahul, who returned from the last Test series against Bangladesh, has not been able to do anything special till now. Whereas Sarfaraz Khan, who played in place of Shubman Gill, has strengthened his claim by scoring 150 runs in the Bengaluru Test match.

Since then, fans were running a campaign on social media that KL Rahul should now be dropped from Test Team India. The special thing is that Rahul was dropped from the playing eleven of Pune Test. But while Team India's head coach Gautam Gambhir was seen supporting Rahul, Sanjay Manjrekar gave a big statement.

Talking to the media, Sanjay Manjrekar said about KL Rahul and his poor form that I think yes, Rahul will have to make a place now. Whereas, if we talk about Shubman Gill, he is at number three in form. Former cricketer and cricket commentator has expressed grief over this.

Sanjay Manjrekar said that I feel sad for KL Rahul. Because even after scoring eight-nine centuries in Test cricket, his average in 50 matches is still around 35. He said that KL Rahul has a lot of class and ability, but he has not been able to perform well. Hopefully, when he is out of the playing eleven, someone will work on him.

Talking about KL Rahul, earlier this year he got injured and was out of the field in the middle of the Test series against England. After this, Rahul returned directly to the IPL 2024 season and after this, he was able to return to Test cricket in the last series against Bangladesh.

Rahul had played an inning of 68 runs in the Kanpur test match. Whereas apart from this he has not been able to do anything special. Rahul has so far scored 2981 runs for India in 53 test matches at an average of 33.87. Now if he wants to secure a place in India's Test team, he will have to make a big splash before going to Australia.
