Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav told in the cabinet meeting on Thursday that last year in 2023, Indian Railways had run a total of 4500 special trains. This year this number has been increased to 7000.
Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that Railways will run 7,000 special trains to facilitate 2 lakh additional passengers daily for Diwali and Chhath Puja. Diwali will start from October 28, while Chhath Puja will start from November 5.
The Union Minister said that it has been decided to run a special train so that the people traveling during the festival do not face any kind of problem.
