President will attend the convocation ceremony of IIT Bhilai: Will distribute degrees to 396 students, CRPF took over security, soldiers will be deployed in 7 layers

Manendra Patel, Durg. Preparations have almost been completed for the third and fourth convocation ceremonies to be held on October 26 at IIT Bhilai campus. President Draupadi Murmu is attending this convocation as the chief guest. 396 students of IIT will be given degrees from his hands. Tight security arrangements have been made for the President's visit. Security arrangements have been made in 7 layers in the IIT campus. Delhi CRPF has taken over the security of the campus.

The arrival of President Draupadi Murmu and the third and fourth convocation ceremonies of IIT Bhilai are being organized simultaneously. Giving complete information about the preparation of the program, Director of IIT Bhilai, Professor Rajeev Prakash said that there is enthusiasm in the entire IIT management. The President will reach the campus at 11 am and will be present at the function for an hour. Along with the President, Governor Ramen Deka, Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, Cabinet and many VVIPs will participate in the program. Digital degrees will be given to students in the convocation ceremony.

Degree students arrived in Sadri dress

Director Professor Rajeev Prakash told that the Senate Award will be given to 31 in the convocation ceremony. Also, the 2023 batch includes 13 PhD holders, 11 MSc, 27 MTech, 13 BTech Honors and 123 BTech graduates, while the 2024 batch includes 8 PhD, 20 MSc, 19 MTech, 12 BTech Honors and 150 BTech students. He told that all the guests and students attending the convocation will arrive in Sadri dress. Along with this, he will also wear the Uttariya with the symbol of IIT Bhilai.

More than 250 forces deployed, many routes diverted

The entire IIT campus has been transformed into a cantonment due to the President's visit. More than 250 forces have been deployed here. A helipad has also been built inside the campus. SP Jitendra Shukla said that today two dry practices have been conducted with two helicopters. The final rehearsal will take place tomorrow. In view of the President's visit, elaborate arrangements have been made in the city also. Many routes will also be diverted.

Minute-to-minute program of President Draupadi Murmu

25 October 2024 (1st day)
11 am: President's arrival at Raipur Airport.
11:30 am: Will attend the second convocation of Raipur AIIMS.
1 pm: Will leave from AIIMS and reach Raj Bhavan.
3 pm: Will participate in the 14th convocation of NIT Raipur.
4:30 pm: Meeting with local tribals at Purkhauti Muktangan located in Nava Raipur.
6 pm: Will return to Raj Bhavan and rest for the night.

26 October 2024 (2nd day)
9 am: Visit to Vivekananda Sarovar, Raipur.
10 am: Departure for Bhilai from Raipur Airport.
11 am: Will attend the fourth convocation of IIT Bhilai.
1:30 pm: Will return from Bhilai to Raj Bhavan in Raipur.
3:30 pm: Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay will participate in the third convocation of Smriti Medical and AYUSH University.
5 pm: After the convocation, she will depart from Raipur airport for Delhi.
