Washington Sundar's brilliant comeback, India dominated on the first day in Pune, New Zealand all out for 259 runs

Washington Sundar: On the first day of the ongoing second test match between India and New Zealand, India completely dominated in Pune. Due to the lethal bowling of Indian spinner Washington Sundar, New Zealand's team collapsed for 259 runs. Sundar made his comeback in this match and took 7 wickets, due to which the Indian team all out New Zealand in 79.1 overs.

After poor performance in Bengaluru in the first test, the Indian team made a strong counterattack in Pune. Washington Sundar was brought back into the playing eleven and he completely justified the faith of the selectors with his performance.

Washington Sundar took 7 wickets for 59 runs, which is the best performance of his first class career. Sundar destroyed the New Zealand batsmen on the spin-friendly pitch of Pune. Ashwin also took 3 wickets, due to which the Indian spin pair together took all 10 wickets of the opposition team.

Important wicket of Rachin Ravindra

Washington Sundar said after the game that the wicket of Rachin Ravindra was most important for him. This wicket came in the 60th over of the game, when Ravindra had played an important inning of 65 runs in 105 balls. Sundar's ball blew away Rachin's off stump, which changed the course of the match. After this, New Zealand's innings collapsed rapidly, and India all out for 259 runs with a score of 197/3.

Great comeback of Indian team

After the crushing defeat in the Bengaluru Test, the Indian team made a brilliant comeback on the first day of the second Test. Ravichandran Ashwin gave the team the lead by taking the initial wicket, but New Zealand's batsmen showed patience in the beginning. However, they did not fare well against the lethal bowling of Washington Sundar and the New Zealand team collapsed for 259 runs in 79.1 overs.
