Patanjali's revenue from operations increased to Rs 8,154 crore in the second quarter

New Delhi New Delhi: Patanjali Foods has announced its unedited financial results for the quarter ending September 30, 2024. Despite the challenging environment in both the Food & FMCG and Edible Oils sectors, the Company continued its strong performance during the quarter. Patanjali Foods reported revenue from operations at Rs 8,154.19 crore in Q2FY25, a growth of 4.25% over the previous year. The company recorded its highest EBITDA of Rs 493.86 crore since it took over the leadership of Patanjali Group. The industry witnessed softening of consumer sentiment mainly due to heavy rains. Despite this, growth in rural consumption remained ahead of urban consumption. In Q2FY25, the company's EBITDA grew by 17.81% over the previous year to ₹ 493.86 crore in Q2FY24. Similarly, EBITDA margin increased by 70 bps to 6.06%.

PAT increased 21.38% YoY to ₹ 308.97 crore, while margin profile improved by 53 bps. Consumer preferences are moving away from traditional general trade channels towards new age alternative channels of distribution. In line with this trend, the company has seen growth in contribution from modern trade, instant commerce and e-commerce. As a result, this shift has led to increased inventory levels with traditional trading partners.

The company exports to 21 countries and its export revenue stood at ₹ 34.55 crore in Q2FY25. • Revenue from wind turbine power generation segment stood at ₹14.35 crore during Q2FY25. The company continues to use ~20% of its energy requirements from renewable sources.
