Valmiki name for tribal residential schools in Karnataka, Siddaramaiah announced

Latest News :- Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has announced that all tribal boarding schools in the state will be renamed after Valmiki. Yesterday (October 17), on the occasion of Valmiki Jayanti, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah paid homage to the statue of Valmiki at Vidhana Souda Complex in Bengaluru.

After this he told reporters, “The Karnataka government has fulfilled all the promises made to the tribal people. The quality of schools and colleges for tribal students has been improved at a cost of Rs 205. All tribal boarding schools in the state will be renamed after Maharishi Valmiki. Raichur University will also be named after Valmiki.” He said. Valmiki organizations and tribal organizations including Nayak have welcomed this announcement.
