Ajit Pawar will be able to use clock election symbol, shock to Sharad Pawar before Maharashtra Assembly elections

New Delhi. Sharad Pawar has suffered a big setback before the Maharashtra Assembly elections. The Supreme Court has currently refused to ban Ajit Pawar-led NCP from using the clock election symbol. The Supreme Court has asked Ajit Pawar to follow the order of putting a disclaimer pending in the court along with the clock symbol. The next hearing in this case will now be held on November 6. The Election Commission had earlier given permission to Ajit Pawar faction's NCP to use the clock election symbol.

After this, Sharad Pawar filed a petition in the Supreme Court demanding to stop Ajit Pawar from using the clock election symbol. While hearing this petition, the bench of Justice Surya Kant, Justice Dipankar Dutta and Justice Ujjwal Bhuyan has given relief to Ajit Pawar. However, the bench made a strong comment on the situation of conflict between Sharad Pawar and Ajit Pawar over the election symbol and said that an embarrassing situation should not be created. Justice Surya Kant told both the parties to please file a new affidavit that you will not violate our instructions in any way from now till the end of the elections. We expect both parties to follow our instructions.

Senior lawyer Abhishek Manu Singhvi presented arguments on behalf of Sharad Pawar. Ajit Pawar's side was presented by his lawyer Balbir Singh. Let us tell you that after separation from Sharad Pawar, his nephew Ajit Pawar had joined many NCP leaders with himself and claimed that his NCP is real while Sharad Pawar faction is opposing it. During the Lok Sabha elections, the Election Commission had given the right to use the clock election symbol to Ajit Pawar led NCP considering it as genuine.
