Nirmala Sitharaman roared in Washington, said – Be it America or China, no country can ignore India.

Washington: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is on American tour these days. There he powerfully presented India's growing influence in the world. He said that India's priority is not to establish dominance but to increase its influence. Sitharaman said that be it America or China, no country can ignore India today.

Sitharaman said these things during the discussion 'Bretton Woods at 80: Priorities for the Next Decade' organized by the Center for Global Development here. She reached America on Tuesday to participate in the annual meetings of the Bretton Woods institutions.

Sitharaman said that India's priority is not to establish its dominance by showing that India is the largest democratic country, we have the largest population.

Rather, our goal is to increase our influence. He said that one out of every six people in the world is Indian that you cannot ignore our economy and the way it is growing.

On the question whether India is in a position to lead, he mentioned the country's leading role in technology and said that Indians have a system to run complex corporate systems.

Nirmala Sitharaman said that you cannot really ignore it. Be it a distant country like America or a neighbor like China, no country can ignore us.
