JMM candidate Kalpana Murmu Soren filed nomination from Gandeya assembly seat, is in the fray for the second time.

Giridih. Kalpana Murmu Soren, wife of Chief Minister Hemant Soren, filed nomination papers on Thursday for the Gandey Assembly seat in Jharkhand Assembly Elections. On Thursday, Kalpana Murmu Soren filed nomination papers before Gandey's returning officer cum district supply officer Ghulam Samdani. During this, Rajya Sabha MP Sarfaraz Ahmed was also present.

Kalpana Murmu Soren will have a direct contest with Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) Muniya Devi, who is also currently the chairperson of Giridih Zilla Parishad. This seat is emerging as a major electoral contest between JMM and BJP in the upcoming assembly elections.

After the nomination, Kalpana Murmu Soren said that I am contesting the elections to serve the people of Gandey Assembly Seat. I have got the love of the people here, the blessings of respected Baba Dishom Guru Ji and mother and the support of Hemant Ji, who is my courage, my strength and my faith. The election atmosphere in Gandey Assembly Seat has become heated and in the coming days this area can become the center of political activity.
