Congress will support India Alliance candidates in UP by-elections, BJP has to face a tough defeat in this election: Avinash Pandey

UP by-election: The Congress party will not field its candidates in the by-elections of Uttar Pradesh, while it will support the candidates of India Alliance partner Samajwadi Party. For the past several days, there was speculation that Congress may contest on two seats in the UP by-election. However, late on Wednesday night, Akhilesh Yadav said, 'It is not about winning the seat'. Under this strategy, the joint candidates of 'India Alliance' will contest elections on all the 9 seats on the symbol of Samajwadi Party, 'Cycle'.

But today is not the time to save our organization or party, this is the time to protect the Constitution and brotherhood. Keeping this in mind, the top leadership of Congress has decided that Congress will not field its candidates in the Uttar Pradesh by-elections. We will strive for the victory of the candidates of INDIA alliance.

He further said, recently 'Save Constitution Resolution Conference' was organized in all the 10 assemblies under the leadership of UPCC. If BJP is not stopped today, the Constitution, brotherhood and mutual harmony will weaken in the future. UP Congress workers have resolved to give a tough defeat to BJP in these elections, so that there can be a positive impact in the upcoming 2027 elections. All the candidates of INDIA alliance in UP will get the support of our workers and efforts will be made to ensure their victory.
