Gangster Goldie Brar: The Canadian government has removed the name of gangster Goldie Brar, wanted by India, from its ‘most wanted’ list. The reason for this decision of the Canadian government is believed to be the already tense relationship between India and Canada.

Goldie Brar, who is hiding in Canada, is accused of murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala and the Indian government had also issued an Interpol Red Notice against her. Former High Commissioner of India to Canada Sanjay Kumar Verma told NIA in an interview that the Canadian government has removed the name of gangster Goldie Brar from its wanted list. He said that Canada is giving shelter to such criminals and extremists who can pose a threat to India’s security.

Sanjay Verma said that Canada’s decision to remove Goldie Brar’s name is part of the ongoing diplomatic issues between the two countries. This attitude of Canada shows the lack of cooperation in the fight against terrorism. He said that Indian authorities have provided the names of some gangsters including Goldie Brar and Lawrence Bishnoi to Canada so that strict action can be taken against them.
