New Delhi: Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan have been making headlines for the last few months over their alleged separation. As per rumours swirling around the web, the couple has hit a rough patch in their marriage and Aishwarya has moved out of the Bachchan mansion.

Amid all the swirling rumours and speculations, several throwback videos of Abhishek Bachchan and Nimrat Kaur’s interview from their film Dasvi‘s promotions have surfaced online and gone insanely viral. For the unversed, Abhishek and Aishwarya keep dismissing the reports of their rumoured divorce in their own style.

In an old interview from 2022, Abhishek Bachchan can be seen fondly talking about his wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as he sat down with Nimrat Kaur during Dasvi promotions. When the interviewer mentioned that it has been 15 years since he is married to Aishwarya, the Ludo actor said, “Touch wood”, expressing that his marriage has been “damn good, yaar”. As Abhishek said that, Nimrit Kaur intervened and said, “Marriages don’t last that long”. Abhishek then laughed and said, “Thanks”. Nimrit went on to clarify that it was a “compliment” for the actor.

The Yuva actor then praised Aishwarya for being a pillar of strength and support throughout their marriage, adding that she has an “incredible ability to put things into perspective”. He further shared that he feels “lucky to have a partner who sets things straight for me”.

About Aishwarya and Abhishek’s relationship

Aishwarya and Abhishek fell in love on the sets of the 2000 movie, Give the letters of love. After building a strong friendship, their relationship took a serious turn when they worked together in Mani Ratnam’s Guru. While they were filming in New York, Abhishek proposed to Aishwarya on a hotel balcony where he dreamed of marrying the Miss World. Aishwarya said yes and they tied the knot in 2007. Now, after 16 years, it is rumoured that the star couple’s marriage has hit rock bottom.
