When will Ayushman Bharat scheme start for 70 year olds? Check the date here

New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi can soon make a big announcement regarding Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana. It is reported that the process of including elderly people of 70 years and above of any income group in the scheme can start from next week. Recently the cabinet had approved the expansion of the scheme.

According to media reports, PM Modi may launch the scheme on Tuesday. During this period, many more health related projects can also be started, which includes the Napch app. There is news regarding Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana that pilot projects have also been started in many states. Under this scheme, elderly people of 70 years and above of any income group will get free treatment worth Rs 5 lakh. Its benefit can be availed from Naapch app.

Expansion in Ayushman Bharat Scheme
A separate card will be made for eligible senior citizens aged 70 years and above. The elders of the families already included in the scheme will get a top up of Rs 5 lakh every year. However, only the elderly will be able to use this top up. Apart from this, elderly people who have already taken health insurance from private companies will also be able to avail the benefits of the scheme.

How to apply for Ayushman card
To avail the benefits of this scheme, citizens will have to apply for Ayushman Card under Chhattisgarh. This can also be done with the help of online portal, Ayushman Mitra App. However, after applying, you will have to wait for some time to get approval. After completion of the application process, citizens will get a health card. You will also get a receipt for free treatment.
