Out of the total 81 constituencies, the first phase of elections is to be held in 43 constituencies. The work of filing nominations for this is ending on 25th. In Jharkhand, BJP has smoothly completed the division of alliance blocks and is announcing candidates. But the distribution of seats in the Bharat alliance has not been finalized yet.

JMM president and state Chief Minister Hemant Soran recently announced that out of the total 81 constituencies in Jharkhand, JMM (Jharkhand Mukti Morcha) and Congress will contest in 70 constituencies and the remaining 11 constituencies will be allotted to other parties in the alliance. . RJD, which is part of the alliance, has expressed strong displeasure over this. It threatened to contest the elections alone in 19 constituencies.

Hemant Soran and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav met twice yesterday to resolve their differences. A senior RJD leader said, “JMM offered to allot us 7 constituencies. But we demanded 9 blocks. We are hopeful that JMM will finally allot us 8 constituencies. Meanwhile, CPI (ML) party, which is part of the All India Alliance, has claimed 5 seats. Other left parties such as the Communist Party of India and the Marxist Party have announced that they will contest the elections alone as they were not invited to the talks.
