Yogi Adityanath gave Diwali gift to state government employees

New Delhi : Recently the Central Government had announced increase in dearness allowance for government employees. After this decision of the Central Government, now the governments of two states have also decided to increase DA. Employees are seeing this decision of the government as a Diwali gift. The Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh has decided to increase dearness allowance for 17 lakh employees and teachers of the state. Apart from this, the north-eastern state Arunachal Pradesh has also given information about increasing the dearness allowance i.e. DA.

Both these states have increased DA for employees and pensioners by about 3 percent. Only after the decision of the Central Government to increase the dearness allowance on the occasion of Diwali, the state governments have also taken this decision. Let us tell you that this increase is going to be implemented with effect from November 1. Now, after the increase in 3 percent dearness allowance, UP government employees are going to be given 53 percent dearness allowance. This can be added to the salary of the employees till 30th October.

How much extra money will you get on Diwali?

Even before Diwali, the outstanding DA from the month of July is also going to be sent to the accounts of these government employees, the total amount of which will be Rs 6,908. Along with this, salary credit for the month of October can also be there. However, for this, 25 percent bonus amount of Rs 1,727 will be sent to your account, the remaining 75 percent amount will be transferred to the General Provident Fund account. This decision will increase the burden on the UP government's treasury by about Rs 1,022 crore.

Arunachal Pradesh is also giving DA

Apart from Uttar Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh government has also announced increased dearness allowance for employees and pensioners. This DA is going to be implemented with effect from November 1. After this increase, government employees will get 53 percent increased DA instead of 50 percent. After this announcement, a total of 68,818 government employees of the state will get the benefit. On October 23, Deputy Chief Minister Chauna Mein said this increase was in line with the policy of the Central Government and decided to implement it.
