Dhokla from Chura or Chura: Prepare tasty Dhokla from Chura or Chura like this, this is the way to make it

Chura, Chuda or Poha is eaten extensively in many places including UP and Bihar. Be it curd powder or homemade salty powder, peas etc. In MP side, tasty poha is prepared from sawdust or chuda. Chura is also called poha. Today we are going to tell you how to make Chura Dhokla. That too without gram flour. So let us know the way to make Poha or Chura Dhokla.

Ingredients for making Chura Ka Dhokla

a cup of poha
a cup of semolina
a cup of curd
half teaspoon baking soda
salt as per taste
to make tadka
one teaspoon oil,
1 teaspoon mustard,
8-10 curries
4 green chillies chopped,
a pinch of asafoetida
turmeric for color

How to make Chura Dhokla

To make sawdust dhokla, first wash the sawdust or poha thoroughly twice and soak it in water for 2 hours. Now remove the extra water and grind the powder or poha in a mixer. Make it like a paste. Mix semolina in it and add salt and keep it to set for 15 minutes.

When the time is over, beat the sawdust or poha and semolina and add baking soda. Now grease a deep vessel and spread the batter. Place it on a stand or plate placed over water, cover and cook for 20-25 minutes.

Check once with a fork whether the Dhokla is cooked from inside or not. When the dhokla is cooked, add mustard and chilli seasoning to it once it cools down. This dhokla made from poha will taste even tastier than gram flour. The special thing is that it is very light.

To make tadka, heat 1 teaspoon oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, asafoetida, green chillies, turmeric and curry leaves. Add 1 teaspoon sugar and some water to it for sweetness. Spread this tempered water over the dhokla and then cut the dhokla and grind it.
