Sajid Khan and Noman Ali dominate England, secures Pakistan’s first home Test series win in 1,357 days

Pakistan secured a historic Test series victory over England, clinching their first home series win since February 2021 after a stunning comeback, highlighted by Noman Ali’s six wickets and Sajid Khan’s ten-wicket match performance.

New Delhi: Pakistan achieved a historic Test series victory by defeating England on Day 3 of the third Test in Rawalpindi. After an innings loss in the first game, Pakistan staged an impressive comeback, clinching the final two matches to secure their first Test series win at home since February 2021.

England’s second innings crumbled for just 120 runs, setting Pakistan a modest target of 36 before lunch on Day 2. Despite losing Saim Ayub to Jack Leach in the third over, Pakistan chased down the target comfortably with nine wickets in hand.

Earlier on Saturday, Joe Root and Harry Brook provided England with a solid foundation, putting on 46 runs for the fourth wicket. However, Pakistan’s Noman Ali broke the partnership by dismissing Brook in the 20th over, leading to a dramatic collapse for the English side.

Joe Root was the top scorer for England in the second innings, managing 33 runs, while Noman Ali was the standout performer for Pakistan, taking six wickets. Sajid Khan also made a significant impact, claiming four wickets in the second innings and finishing with a total of ten wickets in the match, becoming the first spin bowler to achieve this feat in Rawalpindi.
