In which he gave all the information about the scheme and said that one crore families of the country are being given free electricity. In this post, PM Modi has also shared the link of the website of Surya Ghar Yojana. So that people can apply in it. People will have to provide some information and then the application will be accepted.

The government is giving so much subsidy

  • Now if you are thinking that the government is installing these solar panels in your homes for free, then you are wrong. Actually, the government is giving subsidy on installation of solar panels. The subsidy is around 60 percent, after which you will have to pay the money yourself. You will also see the subsidy structure on the website of Surya Ghar Yojana.
  • According to the information given on the official website, a subsidy of Rs 30 thousand per kilowatt will be given.
  • Apart from this, if you buy a solar panel of more than 3 kilowatts, you will be given a subsidy of up to Rs 78 thousand.
  • If you consume 150 units of electricity per month, you will need one to two kilowatt solar panels. On this you will get subsidy of Rs 30 thousand to Rs 60 thousand.
  • If your consumption is 150 to 300 units then you will need two to three kilowatts. In this, subsidy ranging from Rs 60 thousand to Rs 78 thousand will be available.
  • If your consumption is more than 300 units in a month, then you will have to install solar panels of more than 3 kilowatts, on which you will get a subsidy of up to Rs 78 thousand.
